Rooney hit with two-year driving ban

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been hit with a two-year driving ban and was told to complete unpaid community work after being found guilty of drink-driving.

The former Manchester United star who pleaded guilty at Stockport Magistrates Court and is set to go 24 months without driving.

Reports claim that Rooney will also be fined two weeks' wages by Everton, and must complete 100 hours of owed work as part of his communities instruction.

The 31-year-old will was arrested in the early hours of September 1st will, however, see his ban reduced if he attends a specialist driving course come February 2, 2019.
